§5.2-1. There shall be an Independent Agency known as the First Year Council (FYC), whose mission shall be as the vehicle of involvement in the Assembly for freshmen. It shall have the following duties:

1. Provide forums for interaction between the Freshman class and the elected members of the Assembly.
2. Provide for the creation of a system whereby members of the FYC may serve as Aides within the Executive Office of the President, Executive Departments, the Senate, the Undergraduate Council and Independent Agencies. Aides shall serve on a semester-long term. (4-03, SB)
