Department of Diversity Initiatives
Created by an Act of the Student Assembly in February 2005, the Department of Diversity Initiatives works to further experiences at the College for students with diverse backgrounds, specifically with regard to sexual orientation, religion, gender, and culture. The Department's accomplishments include:- planning and executing the very successful Mosaic Festival during the fall semester
- running Pakistani Earthquake relief efforts including the Global Bazaar event
- providing outreach to diverse campus organizations and populations
- providing a multi-religion holiday calendar on the SA website
The Department has built important working relationships with:
- Fanchon Glover, Assistant to President Nichol and Director of Multicultural Affairs
- Susan Grover, Director of Affirmative Action / Equal Opporutnity and Associate Professor of Law
- The President's Committee on Diversity
