Application to Join the 2008-2009 SA Executive
Dear Applicant,
Thank you for your interest in working with us this year. We are very excited about continuing our work on behalf of the students of William and Mary. All SA appointed positions are listed below. Not all of them may be availabe, but we encourage you to apply for what you are most interested in and we will try to accomodate as many requests as possible.
We are looking for people who want to get involved in the Student Assembly. This invitation is open to all returning students including graduate students. We are looking for volunteers with diverse talents and interests, from local government to web design - from constitutional law to parking on campus, and everything in between. Working in the SA is not about politics, it's about serving students, and we need dedicated leaders to help us reach new and higher goals. We need people who are not only talented enough to help us implement ideas, but also people who can think outside the box and come up with new and better methods and solutions to many issues.
If you are interested in helping but aren't sure in what capacity, that's fine. Just fill out an application; if you are qualified, we'll find a place for you. We want to stress that no prior experience in Student Assembly is necessary. We're simply looking for people that are creative, hard-working, and excited about the SA.

- Most Executive jobs including Internal Affairs and First Year Council will require one or two meetings a week with the potential for more individual work on policies. It is a commitment that has the potential to require more attention than other organizations.
- The Review Board meets only for cases, which in the past have not been often. The Elections Commission does a lot of work twice a year in September and March and is on hiatus most of the rest of the year.
